Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) has silently gone for sale in the USA through AT&T. The budget smartphone is now available for purchase through the official website of the American telecom operator. Surprisingly, Samsung hasn’t yet made any official announcement regarding this. However, the AT&T listing has revealed all the official specifications of the Galaxy J3 2017.

Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) Specifications

Coming to the specifications, the Galaxy J3 (2017) is just a minor improvement over the Galaxy J3 (2016). The former sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display. The 2017 iteration of the Galaxy J3 comes with a brushed metal finished exterior which looks quite refreshing. The phone measures at 140.9 mm x 70.1 mm x 8.6 mm and carrying a weight of around 148 grams.
Moving inside, the Samsung Exynos 7570 powers up the Galaxy J3 (2017). The 64-bit quad-core processor is manufactured using the advanced 14 nm FinFET process. It packs four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.4 GHz each. A single core Mali T720 GPU handles the graphics.

There is a 5 MP camera at the back of the latest handset. It can record Full HD (1080 x 1920) videos at up to 30 fps. The selfie camera is a nominal 2 MP unit.
Coming to connectivity, the Galaxy J3 (2017) supports 4G LTE as well as VoLTE along with the usual options. The phone packs a 2600mAh user removable battery.

Pricing and Expected India Release Date

AT&T will charge you $179.9 (Rs. 11,500 approx.) for an unlocked unit of the Galaxy J3 (2017). However, we presume that the phone will sell at a much lower price in India. As of now, Samsung has not provided us with any specific release date of the handset. Still, we expect the Galaxy J3 (2017) to launch in India within a couple of weeks.
